HOUSING WORKS BENEFIT

TASK

Construct the turn-key environment to support the unique designs of over 60 interior designers for the premiere interior design benefit for homelessness and AIDS in New York and Miami.

SOLUTION

For 10 years Mark Stephen has partnered with Housing Works to help grow the annual Design on a Dime event by advising, designing and building structures to house the one-of-a-kind rooms or vignettes, rather, that showcase the work of the featured top interior designers. Each year, the luxe furniture, art, and home decor merchandise donated by the designers, brands, and sponsors is sold at uber-charitable prices to design-savvy attendees to support Housing Works’ efforts to end homelessness and AIDS, particularly the AIDS-Free USA 2025 campaign. In 2016 the event expanded to Miami, Florida. Since its inception, the event has raised over $11 million for these causes.

With two venues in Miami and New York, Design on a Dime brings together an estimated 100 interior designers, over 500 top home decor brands, and nearly 6,000 guests.
